A TRUE HEART
IN FULL ASSURANCE OF THE FAITH
Brother James, OIC
Heb 10:16-25 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
This is news to rejoice about: a work of grace that was, is and will be continuing by God and as He has set you and I apart for this work He performs. He is transforming us through this work and He will complete this good work in us, it’s a promise He has made unto us!
Php 1:6-7 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.
Many are not receiving this Good News as they are laboring in their own strength and goodness and lacking the key ingredient to walk in a proven unwavering faith and that is the good fruit of patience, the strength to wait on God. When problems arrive they worry, fret and then take matters into their own hands instead of trusting and waiting on God. Yet there is still Good News attached to that. Even in these fallen states God promises He will produce this fruit IF you rejoice and be thankful.
Jas 1:2 -5 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Php 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Rejoicing is an attitude that has to be heart felt in that you know that you know God IS working all things out on your behalf for your good. This is another Promise of God that should kept heart ready to claim and confess,
Rom 8:28-29 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
To rejoice and to love God is also something He does in you as you commit your time to prayer and studying His Word, growing in the grace of His Living Truths.
Psa 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
1Jn 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
We all know Faith comes by hearing:
Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
And continuing in this we grow to the results of having been fully persuaded by the Faith, that is we have been made free from this world and its god’s Satan’s false solutions to our lives:
Joh 8:31-2 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
And a freed heart is a true heart!
