THE GLORY AWAITS! James, OIC

THE GLORY AWAITS!
Brother James, OIC

Joh 17:910 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.

After the calling, after the entry through the narrow gate, after the journey down the narrow and difficult path, after the crucifixion of the flesh with it’s passions and lusts, after the healing, after the Fruit of Love is blossomed there is a Glory that will shine within your earthen vessel and it will be the New Creation (you) United as One with God and Christ that glorifies the Name of Jesus a vessel prepared to complete its assigned Work of God. Isn’t that wonderful news? And all you have to do is Study Gods Word, Trust His Promises, Fight the Fight of Faith, Pray Always, In Everything Give Thanks and allow God to complete His work within you patiently awaiting His time in all things.

These few simple steps sound easy but many of us have stunted our own spiritual growth by allowing the adversary to distract us from this High Calling.

THE FLESH RECEIVES THE WORLD THE SPIRIT RECEIVES THE TRUTH James, OIC

THE FLESH RECEIVES THE WORLD
THE SPIRIT RECEIVES THE TRUTH

Brother James, OIC

Eph 4:11-23 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. But ye have not so learned Christ; If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;…..

My mind and your mind must be transformed by the Word of God as we rightly divide, in spiritual understanding, it’s Word of Truth. This transformation grows the Spirit of the Mind. When we press forward in Christ to do this our spiritual enemy Satan will not be pleased. We must always remember the precious cost Jesus paid by purchasing us from Satan with His Blood . Satan will not readily relinquish his possession. He will appear to be an Angel of Light and will use the world, our families, our friends, false teachers in and out of the Church as well as the array of modern day false solutions to our problems. He speaks these subtle temptations into the carnal (fleshly) part of your minds. If our Carnal Minds agree with Satan then we are drawn back into the world and our growth in Christ is stunted or shipwrecked even to the point of falling from Grace.

Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Satan isn’t opposed to goodness as long as it is the law of goodness found in the world and not Gods Goodness. The worlds goodness is evil to God and very deceptive as it touches the emotions and makes sense to the carnal mind.

Isa 5:20-23 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink: Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!

It’s time to give up all rights to ourselves and allow the Holy Spirit to take control of our lives. Then as we learn to be led by Him through His Truth we will become the New Creation unlike anything that’s born into this world and life will then show the results of a Spiritual Life in Christ by our Good Fruit but if the Worlds solutions are mixed into your Christian Calling then the Works of the Flesh will remain evident:

Gal 5:16 -26 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

ENTERING THE KINGDOM OF GOD James, OIC

ENTERING THE KINGDOM OF GOD
Brother James, OIC

Joh 3:5-7 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Entering the Kingdom of God is a journey down a long narrow difficult path where God is transferring Spiritual Truth from the intellect to the Heart where His Fruit can then grow. Our intellects, our pasts, our goals, our upbringing, our education, our successes, our failures, our associations and relationships as well as our own ideals and understanding can be used by the world and its god Satan to hold us back from this Divine Entry.

Outside the Kingdom is a powerless existence that religiously could imitate Christianity but in Truth is not. It’s a life that gets into the letter of Gods Word without ever allowing God to use it to make you free. Jesus stated:

Joh 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free

Truth must be professed, confessed and yielded to in every area and circumstance in our lives in order for it to do it its work and for us to enter into The True Rest of His Kingdom.

Heb 4:9-14 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

When Gods Word is held only in the intellect, even with the ability to quote chapter and verse this is not the place where life in Christ exists. Yielding to God to give Understanding and Wisdom will enliven the Word moving it from the intellect to the Spirit of the Mind (referred to as the heart) wherein God wants to dwell producing the Spirit of Christ in all Wisdom and Power.

Php 2:5-8 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

This Transformation of entering into the Kingdom of God completes as we:

Gal 5:24-26 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

There is a concise overview in scripture that directs this process.

2Pe 1:1-11 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

A HEART OF TRUTH A HEART OF COMPASSION

A HEART OF TRUTH
IS A HEART OF COMPASSION

Brother James, OIC

Joh 8:3-12 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Jesus is the Word of God made flesh. The Word of God is Seed of Truth, Spirit, Light, New Life, and Produces only Good Fruit. Compassion is the new heart formed as a result of understanding and believing Truth. The Scribes and Pharisees in these verses, though self righteous, had enough conscious to know when Truth spoke to them that they were not without sin.

How is this applied today? Only by the Blood of Jesus and our Faith in His Word have we been cleansed from sin, Born Again into a New Sin Free Creation. Does this mean our flesh has no sin, no it doesn’t but we are no longer in the flesh if we have Gods Spirit and the Spirit of Christ dwells in us:

Rom 8:9-10 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

1Jn 3:8-9 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

To commit sin is to agree with sin, which no one truly called of God does. If there is sin there is conflict as the flesh lusts against the Reborn Spirit.

Gal 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

Our beloved Apostle Paul had this same conflict:

Rom 7:14-25 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Today’s Scribes and Pharisees having crept into our Churches have secured leadership positions and are destroying many in their self righteous false teachings, evil judgments and loveless ways. They have not rightly divided the Truth of Gods Word. They ignore the fact that as they break one point, any point of the law they are guilty of breaking the whole law therefore disqualifying them from any righteous judgment of others.

But you the called of God continue to Love as Christ Loved and allow God to work His Truth in you in understanding. Good Fruit will produce and grow you to maturity, the works of the flesh will eventually be totally crucified in your new life and compassion will become your eyes and heart as Christ lives in and through you.

FREEDOM FROM SHAME James, OIC

FREEDOM FROM SHAME
Brother James, OIC

Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Living apart from shame in your life has to do fully with your commitment to the True Gospel of Christ. To arrive at the place of full confidence in Him a separation, a setting apart of yourself for Him has to first be an understanding within you that the world with it all its shiny illusions of happiness and self esteeming goodness is not God but the world.

1Jn 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Here in the U.S. the American Dream has become a leaven that’s slithered into the Church Doctrines, corrupting the True Gospel. And sadly many are not up to the challenge to Love others in Truth while forsaking their shameful love of the world.

Joh 15:16-19 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

To be ordained of God is a point of maturity reached wherein Truth has been heard, rightly divided and understood producing Good Fruit for the Kingdom of God wherein all of your loyalty and citizenship must abide. This is being Born Again (See Js1:18; 1Pt1:23)

Mat 13:18-23 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Freedom from shame is therefore reached as you:

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

SHAPING YOUR WILL TO THE FATHERS James, OIC

SHAPING YOUR WILL TO THE FATHERS
Brother James, OIC

Mar 14:32-46 And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray. And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy; And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch. And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

Very recently I had a Garden of Gethsemane experience. I was in a circumstance I didn’t want to be in I just wanted it to go away, I was praying it would, my heart was breaking, my soul was sorrowful unto death. As I prayed my heart was moved from grieving to acceptance with the attitude (Father not my will but Your Will). And I knew whatever happened I would still be His Son working in the Family Business, doing what Jesus trained me to do, doing what pleased our Father.

In this circumstance my Father moved the mountain in the way I was hoping, and this hope was His Perfect Will. The difference between this outcome and past outcomes wherein He through His Permissive Will let me have my stubborn way was the fact I had accepted His decision, His assignment whatever it would be.

In the past I remember years of the “me, me, me” attitude I had with God. I wanted what I wanted” and I wanted God to do what I wanted. There was no thought in me that maybe things I wanted were not the Fathers Will so consequently He knowing I was bound in self willed run riot He would permit me to have my way and go through the same old mess again. All this was to bring me to the brokenness and acceptance in my life needed to bear good fruit in the things He instructed me to do. It doesn’t mean He left me, nor does it mean He removed His protection from me but He would allow me to touch the hot stove again since I ignored the warnings and what should have been to me the obvious results. I was still a baby (carnal) Christian. It is a fact that you truly cannot expect to achieve different results unless you change the way you do them.

It is a must that if you truly desire the life of Christ to be formed within you a willingness to yield to Gods Will found in the Truth of His Word must be a committed decision in your life. God will do the Good Work in you to completion IF you open your heart to know and understand Truth.

Everything I’ve written here is supported fully by rightly understood scripture. But now my hope for you is you search it out and find it.

You and I will always have our Garden of Gethsemane experiences wherein we fear the unknown of Gods Will thinking it will hurt, but think about: could it possibly hurt worse than what you put yourself through and the good news His promises await those on the other side of these tests and His Promises He always delivers to those who in Faith allow His Truth to shape their will to His Will.

CONFESSION,TRUTH,FAITH,RIGHTEOUSNESS James, OIC

CONFESSION,TRUTH,FAITH,RIGHTEOUSNESS
Brother James, OIC

Jas 5:16-20 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

To live in error is to live apart from Truth. To live apart from Truth is never have Faith grow inside of you and therefore never be credited the Righteous of God that is given to you through your Faith in Christ. Truth makes you free, free to confess those faults that still hold your flesh bound yet miraculously you remain free in the spirit through Truth. This freedom is a grace whereby you can impart Truth to others so that they too may be converted from the error of their truth-less ways.

Apart from Christ every sin is sin unto death.

Rom 6:20-23 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Now in Christ you have been made free from that hold which the old law placed on you through its ordinances now nailed to the Cross.

Col 2:14-15 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Yet there still remains sin unto death and that is speaking against the Spirit of Truth.

Mar 3:28-30 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

But if the Seed of Truth is in you, you cannot sin:

1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Isn’t this Good News?!

A TRUE HEART IN FULL ASSURANCE OF THE FAITH James, OIC

A TRUE HEART
IN FULL ASSURANCE OF THE FAITH

Brother James, OIC

Heb 10:16-25 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

This is news to rejoice about: a work of grace that was, is and will be continuing by God and as He has set you and I apart for this work He performs. He is transforming us through this work and He will complete this good work in us, it’s a promise He has made unto us!

Php 1:6-7 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

Many are not receiving this Good News as they are laboring in their own strength and goodness and lacking the key ingredient to walk in a proven unwavering faith and that is the good fruit of patience, the strength to wait on God. When problems arrive they worry, fret and then take matters into their own hands instead of trusting and waiting on God. Yet there is still Good News attached to that. Even in these fallen states God promises He will produce this fruit IF you rejoice and be thankful.

Jas 1:2 -5 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Php 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Rejoicing is an attitude that has to be heart felt in that you know that you know God IS working all things out on your behalf for your good. This is another Promise of God that should kept heart ready to claim and confess,

Rom 8:28-29 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

To rejoice and to love God is also something He does in you as you commit your time to prayer and studying His Word, growing in the grace of His Living Truths.

Psa 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

1Jn 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

We all know Faith comes by hearing:

Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

And continuing in this we grow to the results of having been fully persuaded by the Faith, that is we have been made free from this world and its god’s Satan’s false solutions to our lives:

Joh 8:31-2 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

And a freed heart is a true heart!
